He headed India & ASEAN expansion of Japanese consultancies of Mitsubishi Corporation and NTT DATA group before starting World1. He has worked in global consultancies like Bain & Company and Roland Berger, as well as in Japanese industrial majors like Fuji Xerox and Sony.

As cross-border business professional origin in Japan, he has been focusing on India and emerging markets for more than a decade after hands-on business development/ performance improvement experiences in Japan, Americas, EU, China, ASEAN, CIS, etc. After relocating to Bengaluru with family in 2016, he is performing as resident professional mostly in two areas, local business accelerator as well as social innovator.

As a local business accelerator, he is offering unique & original programs for foreign MNCs and local start-ups, i.e. “Innovation in India!” by leveraging India as innovation hub/ R&D field, “virtual Expat” as pre-entry service for potential market entrants, “virtual CIO” to improve performance of existing players, etc.

At the Cultural and International Relations Committee we believe in celebrating this beauty by constantly involving students at SIBM Bengaluru in a number of activities year-round and helping the managers of tomorrow develop a new perspective of thinking, while also offering them a platform to showcase their inner creativity and talents.

The Cultural and International Relations Committee ensures that every event leaves an everlasting memory for the students and provides a perfect balance of fun and entertainment along with regular academia. Apart from this CIRC is also responsible for enhancing the global perspectives of students and increasing the global reach of the brand SIBM-B by fostering and developing new ties with International universities.

SIBM - Bengaluru

Ever since its inception in 1971, SYMBIOSIS has been synonymous with progress. Symbiosis has spread its wings by establishing the first outside Maharashtra campus, in Bengaluru in the year 2008.

SIBM Bengaluru in just a couple of years of its establishment, of course with the full support and guidance of the eminent Board of Management and the Symbiosis Society, has carved out a niche for itself. The focus, now, is on matching global standards of management education. Bengaluru is at the forefront of globalization, and SIBM-B is perfectly poised to cater to the confluence of the east and the west. At SIBM-B, the onus rests with each individual to carve out their own identities. SIBM-B will instil a work culture which is unparalleled among various institutions. There is no alternative to dedication and SIBM-B fosters this view with a rigorous curriculum coupled with a strong focus on the emerging trends in the industry.

Futsal

Panache

Each team should have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 members.

• Teams will be judged based on creativity, walk, costumes, and attitude/expressions.
• One team will get a maximum of 4 minutes to complete their ramp walk and 1 minute to explain the thought behind their dress-up.
• Teams will have to submit their music track for the ramp walk prior to the event. The track must be in MP3 format.
• Teams using any props/costumes/dressing must bring all their requirements and must be ready well in time as per instructions of the organizer.
• The decision of the judges will be final.
• Common green rooms will be provided for changing purposes before and after the event.

Resonance

• There must be 1-6 participants in each team.
• Participants must sing in the language associated with their culture and country.
• Participants will be judged based on clarity, tonality, and resonance to the theme and expression.
• Participants are allowed one percussion instrument and one acoustic instrument/keyboard as accompaniment.
• Participants are allowed to bring a karaoke track, provided that it is in an MP3 format, and the main vocals of the track are not audible. Karaoke tracks should not include profanity of any kind.
• No limit on the number of teams per university/college.
• Explicit songs are prohibited.
• The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

Engroove

Requirements -

• The music track is in a pen drive.
• A vanity room will be provided 10 minutes before and 10 minutes after the performance. Participants must wear base makeup and costumes before the event starts.

Rules-

• A setup time of 2 minutes will be provided.
• Each group will be given 5 minutes of performance time.
• There should be 4-10 participants in each team.
• Costumes and other properties for the dance must be arranged by the participants themselves.
• Judgment will be based on song selection, formations, expression, costumes, props, makeup, and overall effect.
• No limit on the number of teams per university/college.
• Explicit songs & any obscenity are prohibited

Kinetoscope

• Known for coming with something new, this time we have come up with a photography event. One is in line with our theme “Melange” and the other is open ended. We aim to provide you with a platform to showcase your hidden photography skills as this event is open to all. This is an individual event.

Lay-Up

Game -

• A 3v3 basketball match will be played with 1 rolling substitute for each team.
• The team that scores 21 points in the stipulated time wins.

Rules

• Teams of 4 players are allowed to register.
• 3 players per team are allowed on the court at one time with one rolling substitute.
• It will be a direct knockout tournament.
• In the case of an odd number of teams, a bye will be given to one of the teams on a random basis
• Each game will be of 10 minutes with no breaks.
• In the case of the ball going out of play, play will resume with a throw-in.
• If the match ends in a draw, the result will be decided with free throws
• The referee’s decision will be final.
• Any intentional fouling or use of abusive language will lead to direct disqualification of the team.
• Any racist comments will also lead to disqualification.
• No player can be part of two teams.
• Teams can decide their own jersey colors; these will not be provided at the venue.
• Each team needs to elect a captain who will be the point of contact.

Prime Cognitio

• Solo or team performance (max upto 3) 
• *Participation open for “All”.

First Round

• It will be a Presentation round.
• The topics for the same will be given to the participants prior to the day of event.
• It could be a formal presentation but manner of presentation will be evaluated by judges.
• As creative as one could be, People can enact, use their props & can be as interactive.
• Max 12 minutes to present, single bell after 11 minute to conclude & double bell to end.

Second Round:

• Few participants will be eliminated from the first round.
• This round will be extempore.
• In extempore only, from each group will present after having the discussion with the team
• Single bell after 2 min 30 sec to conclude in extempore & double bell to end.
• Use of any electronic devices is prohibited during the rounds.
